Army Pay Slip 1816

This time a pay receipt for Lt. Col. John Fremantle of the Coldstream Guards who was Assistant Military Secretary and ADC to the Duke of Wellington at Waterloo dated 30th October 1816
His pay for the two month period was Ł28:19:6, a rate of 19/6 per day.

Actually the rate of pay was 9/6 per day or 9 shillings and sixpence per day. That seems to be quite a lot of money for 1815. Anyway, this is very interesting so thanks for posting Regards, Paul
