This is an on-going project to document the ever changing moods of Otago Harbour and Otago Peninsula.
The area is home to numerous wildlife species and is coming under more and more pressure
from land speculators, Farming, loss of habitat, water quality degradation,
the well healed looking for that weekend retreat and affluent refugees from the Northern Hemisphere.
The wild, iconic landscape of New Zealand is being sacrificed to the almighty dollar.

a fantastic folio of superbly crafted images....this area looks well worth preserving from encroaching commerical interests...it seems almost paradisical and worth far more in it's natural state...the gallery is a wonderful hommage to a very special place...those who visit here should tread lightly...V

What a trip down memory lane. Now in my mid 60's I was born and brought up in Broad Bay. Still have family living in Harwood, Portobello, Broad Bay and Macandrew Bay. My nephew is one of the pilots on the Pilot boat. Thank you so much for the fabulous photography.
