They spotted me in 1 millisec.

The boat is 150 yards away, travelling about 40 mph.
I put the camera lens over the edge of a high brick wall, heads snap around to look at me before the autofocus kicks in.
What is it about a camera that spooks people so much, I can think of Guilt as one reason, cant think of any others right now.

1. Low possibility
2. Medium possibility
3. Very low possibility

There are other possible explanations:
1. They could have a Photographic Imaging Device Detector and Warning System (PIDDWS) with them.
2. One of their cohorts, on land, noticed Agent Cooper and alerted them via radio to the "danger."
3. They are doing neck exercises and turned their heads toward the camera by pure coincidence at the moment of recording.
4. Agent Cooper yelled something obscene at them to get their attention. Psyops training includes all manner of tricks to get a person's attention.

I could list more possibilities, but I'm still trying to win the Crystal Award.

It does make one wonder, John. Maybe they are so quick to spot us because -they- are paranoid. I don't know either. But it usually works when I say "it's ok, there's no film in the camera." Guilty people are gullible.
