Almost certainly caused through radiation.
Note the contra-rotation style of flying, this makes this pigeon very manoeuvrable.

Dave, we have been doomed many times before. Julius Ceaser and the Romans doomed us, where are they now, long gone. The Vikings doomed us, where are now, non existent.
