The Mad Mile on the A20

A20 near Sidcup.

Called the Mad Mile because of young boys who tried to get to 100 mph along this stretch of road on their motor bikes.

In 1960 I was 16 years old.
I drove very fast because I thought I was a really good rider.
Before I was 17 I realised I was a very bad rider and thought If I keep riding a bike I am going to die. So I gave up the bike and bought a car when I was 17. Best decision I ever made. I am 81 and hopefully got a few more years left.
