De Gaulle used to ride in one of those although it was the more expensive one. It must be why he used to say unpleasant things to people, including world leaders.
I've always thought they look strange, but never saw a 3 wheeler in person. Not even at car shows. I can imagine getting seasick like Bob said.

Their hydraulic suspension was badly made and extremely expensive to repair. Add that to the fact that passengers got seasick very quickly (I know, I rode in one a few times) I'm surprised any of them get used.
