Walking in the park in the sunshine.

The trees were big back then. The cement pond, a square sided inverted pyramid was definitely down along this view. Possibly to water the allotments which covered the whole park during the war.

If thats the river on the right, and the man is walking along the tarmac path, thats how i remember it, except the row of trees on the right were tiny and there was a wardens hut at the bottom. I recall the cement pond was by the main road. but, like I said, 50 and a few years since I last walked there.

Bob, the park has not changed, your memory has.
This is exactly how I remember it.
Except there was a cement pond at the far end.
