The underside looks good, just needs the final coat of varnish once everything else is in place.
the backwards step was I could not after all fit the roof tiles from the top down.
The side of the house is not square, and I got a "hump" in the middle of the tiles after row three while trying to match new to existing.
So I had to finish the T&G first and tomorrow I can start tiling the conventional way from the lower edge.
