Sounds like Lake Michigan. (Yes, there is a lake called Michigan.) Even at this time of year it feels like ice water. I have only been in it once and that was enough.

Larry it sure is beautiful but,,,you will not believe how cold it is. I can last about 15 minutes in it. If I tried for 30 hypothermia would get me.
