21. ESC put in position.

The Electronic Speed Controller regulates the amount of electricity supplied to the motor, it is the throttle.
A few more screws to hold it in place and then I will have to connect it to the motor.
This ESC is second hand, donated by my brother Bob.
Got to go shopping for some 4.8mm Lucar female connectors.
Only got the 6.5mm in my workshop supplies.
Working with this small stuff is hard.

My only worry is if I sink it on its maiden voyage, these things happen, or so I have been told.

Learn by experience John

I wish Exzim.
The controller has to allow for a situation where the prop jams and puts a sudden power surge through it.
I am expecting this motor to draw about 15 amp at full throttle with a 12 volt battery.
All this model boat system stuff is totally new to me, I am hoping I don't make too many mistakes by the time it gets into the water.

30 Amps should drive it at takeoff speed - is this to be a flying boat ?

That device is ready, will be installed soon.

Good things take time---keep at it!
Is the ESC shielded from errant fratostatic pulses?
