Just left Southsea

Southsea

It is very spectacular watching the hovercraft land and leave the beach here.
You can get within a few feet of it. Close enough to get blasted by the propwash, and the spray thrown up.

Jason, there is a limit on the "roughness" of the sea these can travel over.
I dont know what the ratio of wave height to the size of boat is.
Obviouslt the bigger the Hovercraft the bigger the waves it can travel over.
I have seen this one coming in to the shore almost invisible in spray because of the rough sea.

Very cool -- something hard to find over here.
Do you know if they're restricted in heavy seas? Or can they function basically like rigid hulled boats? Just curious.

John,
it certainly blew the cobwebs from my brain.
Had to get the salt spray off right away.

Could be useful for blowing the dust off your sensor John.
