Maybe a Greenfinch

I know it is a poor quality photo of a yellow bird.
But it is the first time I have seen one in my garden in 30 years.

It looks like a bird , but I'll just check in my huge book of birds, my granddad gave me back in the 60's.Yep, it's a bird alright.

Looks like what we call a wild canary, a goldfinch.
