 Strange place to stand, maybe he is not fishing right now. |
 I wonder why those other birds are just standing there staring at the Heron. |
 He often stands there, to high above the river to catch a fish. |
 How can he see fish through that weed, because he is very clever. |
 Whatever that is it looks to big to catch. |
 I find it very difficult to get a shot of what they capture |
 That was a powerful strike |
 He wont catch no fish there |
 They often stand on one leg |
 I wonder why that Crow is staring at the Heron |
 I dont think that is the Herons nest, they nest at the top of trees |
 He is resting, will not catch a fish from there |
 I like it, but i did not do it, something fooled the camera, and it blued the Heron |
 Very low flying across the ground |
 Taking off into the setting sun |
 Leaving now |
 Take off |
 Neck tucked in for a longer flight |
 Just left the water. |
 Rarely see one taking off from grass |
 Leaving the pond |
 Flying overhead |
 The colour of the wing matching the background was not planned, it just happened that way |
 I can read and i dont care. |
 What a huge mouth, those little fish have no chance. |
 I could not see what he was looking at |
 How does he see fish through that blanket of weed |
 A cloud of midges to torment him |
 Quite unusual to see a heron sitting there. |
