I could manage a safe 50 yard target range here at home, although it's considered the same as discharging a gun within village limits these days. I'll have to do a better search for a range.

Tom,shame you cannot try it.
When I took up shooting in 1983, my sister and her husband took up Archery.
My sister was a natural shot, she held 18 County records in Essex for many years.
And once was asked to shoot for England. She still holds 4 County records.
I am surprised there is not an Archery Club near you, it is a popular sport all over the world.
