Hetaerina cf proxima

It will probably be hard to identify this one, because hardly anything is visible of the appendages. They seem to be short. Based on this, thorax pattern and distribution, I think it is probably H. proxima, H. simplex.
I don't know what these look like in real life. What might be of help is the pterostigma that is present in the wing.
H. rosea could be a possiblity, but from plates in Paulson and Ellenriede & Garrison it seems this species doesn't have a pterostigma. In Paulson the thorax pattern is visible and it seems to differ, especially in that it has a light stripe along the medio-dorsal carina. The Itatiaia Hetaerina doesn't have this.

I now have the detailed article on Hetaerina by Rosser Garrison (1990).
Based on geographic distribution, the following calopterygids should be possible in Itatiaia:
H. hebe - one wingtip hyaline
H. longipes - all wingtips red
H. proxima - short lower appendages
H. simplex - no pterostigma
It has a pterostigma... so it's not H. simplex
Forewingtip is hyaline, so it is not H. longipes.
From H. hebe and H. proxima I don't know if they have a pterostigma, but I assume so... H. proxima has obviously shorter lower appendages than H. hebe. As the male on these photos has short lower appendages, I would go for Hetaerina proxima, but this needs confirmation.
Tough stuff if you have only these photos to go by!
