Hetaerina cf moribunda male

The hetaerina on these pictures is the only one that seems to be different from the other ones. Maybe that is only because of age. This is clearly a very mature male.

An individual was caught by Tim Manolis and Rich Hoyer in 2006 and identified in hand as H. moribunda. The male on my pictures clearly looks very similar to the caught individual.

... because of the different (more red) colour of the metallic parts on the thorax and the different size an shape of the apical wingspot I suspect it is indeed a different species. That is why today I have put it in a different gallery.
