Hi Robert! Unfortunately I am not very Active on Pbase, it comes and goes! Thank you for your comments. Since 2011 I use a D300s but I still take all my birdpics with my old 400 lens. Mostly I use a monopod and occasionally on free hand. I rarely use my tripod even though its easy to switch place with my telescope. I try to do as little as possible in the computer, since I´m an old school photographer. Maybe some sharpening, and croping, somethimes I adjust lightness. After all I´m a birdwatcher/twitcher!

Hi Johan. I´m Robert from Spain. Your gallery is superb. Birds in the wild, in their natural environment, without tricks or innkeepers. I see you have a nikon d200 and nikkor 400 3.5 ais. So do I. But your approach technique is very good. Not easy to find photographers who continue to use 400 3.5 ais nikkor to bird´s photography. I would like to know how you make your potos, what technic do you us. Thank you. Happy new year.
Johan
