Hard work by the saltworkers on Lake Asale - Ethiopia
By countless flooding from the Danakil depression by the Red Sea, a thick layer of salt is formed after the evaporation of the water, at some places as thick as 5 km, Only the upper layer around 10 cm is removed and cut into blocks.
