Tamron 70-200 / 2.8 on a 5D

These pics are all fullsize straight RAW conversions with no other editing. They show the lens at its' widest, mid, and longest zoom ranges, and are pics of objects at infinity, macro, and middle focus distances. The pics demonsrate the sharpness, contrast, color, flare handling, and bokeh of the lens.

In my personal opinion, if I've tested a lens with higher IQ, I can't tell the difference. It's unfortunate that I chose to sell this lens because I was so put off by its horrific AF.

I intended to say The zoo and football shots were done on Dpreview not Pbase.

Joe I couldn't believe my luck when I saw you were playing with the Tamron 70-200. I have been curious about this lens and I have seen some very sharp shots with this lens but the problelm is if you do a search on Pbase most of the shots are rather static and relatively bokeh free and I know this can do more. I really hope you do some head and shoulder shots of your family and or else friends or else some real life street stuff before you return it. And it's ok if you stop down for some things too. I just assume that you are renting which is why I'm pushing You before it's too late. Someone did some things at a zoo and a football game on Pbase this week and I gotta say they looked good. Now the Sigma version is not as sharp but it is warm and color friendly which sometimes counts for more in making an interesting picture. I just wanna compare.
