The most severe "problem" seems to lie between f /
2.8 and f / 4, but is pretty much gone by f / 4. There's a huge
difference, though, in both the vignetting and metering from f / 2.8 to f
/ 4. As this is the same pattern that my EF-S Sigma 18-50 / 2.8
shows, it leads me to wonder if this situation is endemic to f / 2.8 EF-S
lenses. Fortunately, this will not likely ever be a problem for me
in that vignetting is more an issue when going for a deeper DOF -- it's
often overlooked, or just not important, in shallower DOF shots. |
