Handheld shots on a cold morning (for San Diego, that is!), so some of any softness you see may be attributable to not holding perfectly still (the DOF at f /1.4 is pretty narrow!). One-shot center AF used for all shots.

Pics are resized fullframe with a 100% unmodified crop from center (or very near center) frame below. No point in posting crops from elsewhere as the DOF at f /1.4 is too shallow.
