I have become intrigued with the possibilities of macro photography, especially what is sometimes called extreme macro. A Canon G2 was used in Gallery #1 with Nikon 4t and B&W 4Nl diopters and occasionally a reversed 50mm lens - most with an external flash bounced and diffused- and all handheld. What I have really learned or relearned is the value of paying closer attention to what lies nearest to hand. All images copyright Joseph M. Arceri. Joe, I really liked "Time." That was very interesting visually, because of the circles within circles--linear time and cyclical time all brought together. We'll get in touch soon, I hope. Tom

Way to go!! I have often wondered what meaning the entire universe would reveal if we could glimpse all of creation in one grand cosmic photo. I would like to believe the colors, textures, shapes, lighting, and contrasts would unravel the mystery of it all. But Alas, we can only attempt to fit pieces of the macro puzzle together by investigating it's micro components...and by so doing, only add to the mystery. Good luck on your new search!

Joe! "Time" is an interesting abstract. The colors in "Starpoint Lilly Leaf" are an immediate eye attraction, but the texture of the leaf and the sweep of its rainbow form sustain ny interest. Ron
