Bart from Railay, Thailand
Bart is one mean dude. Fiercely independent and self centered, Bart has an anger management issue and believes the world should cater to him. It's wise to keep a safe distance from Bart as he is prone to jump out and attack even when unprovoked.

Bart from Railay, Thailand
Here's Bart just before he tried to attack my wife. His reason? Well, she was offering him some food. He ungraciously grabbed the offering of fresh fruit then proceeded to wash it in muddy water and dirt prior to having his little feast. He wanted the fruit but didn't want to let on he was grateful.

Bart from Railay, Thailand
Despite his downside, Bart's a reasonably photogenic monkey. Clearly intrigued by our presence, he didn't shy away from having his picture taken.

Bart from Railay, Thailand
Here's Bart posing with our little gift. He's in a much better mood here, but I would still keep my distance.

Bart from Railay, Thailand
Here he is enjoying the fruit (but keeping at least one eye on us at all times). Okay, maybe he isn't that bad a guy after all.

Woody from Siem Reap, Cambodia
Woody is a bit of a loner. As he is not blessed with social graces, he keeps himself occupied by chewing up old carpet. If you're an unemployed monkey with time on your hands ... why not? He seems to be a decent fellow - approachable and friendly (well, as friendly as a monkey can get). Though impressed by our presence, he was content doing his own thing.

Woody from Siem Reap, Cambodia
Woody clearly doesn't have much fashion sense. I guess it comes with the territory when you're a loner. When we asked all the single female monkeys about Woody, they all laughed and said "what's with the mohawk? Doesn't he know that went out of style, like, in the 80's?".
If he did something with his hair and was a little more generous with his carpet, he might actually do okay with the ladies.
Good luck with that Woody!

Woody from Siem Reap, Cambodia
Here's Woody in action, doing what loves the most ... chewing apart his carpet.

Woody from Siem Reap, Cambodia
Ah, now we more fully understand Woody's interest in the carpet. Clearly it has some hallucinogenic effects. Woody, being a decent law-abiding Cambodian citizen monkey, would never consider Cambodia's "ganja". Carpet is far more legal and obviously delivers similar effects.
... Maybe Woody is on to something.

Dwight and Dexter, Siem Reap Cambodia
Dwight and Dexter are a couple of crazy kids who live in a tree. Everything is fascinating and new to these youngin's. Here, Dwight discovered a branch. "Dex, check this out! A branch! Isn't that the craziest thing you've ever seen?"

Dwight and Dexter, Siem Reap Cambodia
Despite their young age, they have obviously been schooled well by their mother, and have picked up a few social graces. Here, Dwight is caught grooming his brother ... the critters he finds make for a nice little snack too. Bonus!

Dwight and Dexter are just hanging out with their other brother (we didn't catch his name). Mom's in the foreground looking out for her kids.
