The Church, Holy Rosary Cathedral on Dunsmuir Street in downtown Vancouver, was built 1899-1900 in 490 days, constructed of sandstone from Gabriola island. The spire is 217 ft tall. The photo is taken from a park across the street known as Cathedral Square, which includes the canopy frame structure, supported by air ducts which are part of a subterranean hydro substation.
