In Indal the terrain is varied. Wooded ridges are surrounded by small mires and ponds. The forests have been affected both by logging
activities during the late 1800's and also by earlier forest fires. Old pine trees are remnants of that time. Flooded areas are found along
Sulån stream south of lake Sulsjön. Here the dying trees have gnaw marks, proving the presence of beaver.
