Hi Guenter, yes, I would recommend this camera for people like me, impulsive shooter. This camera has remarkable high ISO noise free, and that is essential to my way.
I use to shot in the evenings when I go for a walk with my wife and I must be rapid, she doesn't like to wait for me. LOL.
Many times I shot people while I'm walking so I need high ISO indeed.
I like this camera because you pass inadvertently to people eyes too.
F10 is full automatic but the new model F11 http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Fujifilm/fuji_finepixf11.asp) lets you aperture and shutter priorities modes.
This camera is a big thing for me but there is big controversial about it in certain forums.
