Signs Of Spring In The High Desert

The Arches NP

After all the comments about my first post of this picture being too dark and some serious looking at the picture, I came to the same conclusion. It was too dark. So here is my fix using Promatrix and HDR with some Tonemapping along the way. The trick here was maintaining the bright red of the flowers and the subtal tones in the forground rock while keeping the contrast and crispness in the log. So here it is for your approval or disapproval.

Spring in Iowa - windy, cool and wet. This week the farmers finally are in the fields in our area. What a fantastic picture. Such know how/talent. I still have trouble turning on my camera!

Had your classmates know that you were an PhotographicArtist, we would have all lined up at the 50th reunion to have you take our picture and make us all look younger. Great pictures.
