Business ain't dead, it's only a sleeping

Cogar, Oklahoma

Some of you might recognize this picture as the filling station that was used in the film "Rainman"

I have reposted this image in B&W with a sepa tone.. You can hit the next button to view. I really like the B&W better.

Both versions are nice, but like several others, I like the color one better.

Great subject, but it could be a lot better. I know that comment will offend some people, but picture this. A moody grayscale black and white, Late afternoon after a thunder storm. Large mean clouds over the building. Direct light bouncing off the wet street, windows, and signs.. It might even be shot toward dusk with the lights providing illumination and with a borrowed antique car out front. There are lots of possibilities. Taking it mid aftternoon does not nearly bring out the possibilities. Also, I would straighten the perspective.

I like the color also. Rust looks better in color!

I like the color. It showes the faded colors of the paint on the building, the rust marks on the sign. Great job.

Loads of character. I too like the colour version.

Great scene, John. I prefer this color even though they are both good.

Well done John. I thought it looked familiar. I have been throuh OK a number of times also. If you had been fortunate to have more and darker clouds I would have liked the Sepia better. As it is I think I prefer the color. Both are very nice captures of a moment in time for me.

This is a classic shot. Perfectly staged almost. I like it a lot. Linda S
