Pbase Baby Sheep at Cogswell Farm on January 7 2006.jpg

This is my first (feeble) attempt at using U point (aka the control point) on Nikon Capture. For you Photoshop persons, this is supposed to same as doing layers. I was trying to preserve the shadow detail and reduce the areas blow out.
Practice. Practice.

Another comments - Aren't sheep supposed to be born in spring?? Global warming??

I know nothing about Nikon Capture vs Photoshop, but the light range here is phenomenal.

Have read about that Nikon feature--wish Canon had it!
Love the light on the backs of the sheep-picked a good time for this shot.

The dynamic range on this shot is very high - a challenge for any capture. If the Nikon has a feature that let's you somehow increase DR, that's huge! Cute lamb though - we went to a sheep farm last summer, and arrived just an hour after a lamb was born - it's legs were still wobbling! The girls loved it - "Oooooo! Soooo cuuuuute!"

I love the light on this - particularly how it follows both their nose and up their backs, like an outline. Nicely done!

Looks like you retained detail in the highlights and your blacks are black! So that's a result!!!

(Most 'British' breeds of sheep only produce lambs in the spring, but there are many breeds who have different genetics, and some Scandinavian that breed continually all year round.)
