pbase Post sunrise on December 3 2005_filtered.jpg

Point to ponder -

When you go out on a photo shot, how often is the first
and last photograph of the day in the running for
the PaD? Today I choose the first, but the last and
shot from the middle were close call. The last shot was
the chain and middle was the abandoned building destined
to be condo.

Here is why I choose the first -- we are down to two boats in the
harbor - sure sign that winter is here. However, I really like the
detail on the chain in Britol.

Happy Saturday - December 3rd 2005!

LOVE the first ones...the clouds are really extraordinary...is that a LEICA you're shooting with? I'm jealous!

I agree these are all keepers and I wouldn't be able to decide either. Lovely warm light on the first, excellent composition and detail on the wonderful old building and the chain is almost an abstract.

Often it's my last (desperate) attempt which makes it to my PaD.
I love your middle shot, the light on the building is fabulous. But I like all 3 shots :-))

All three are spectacular shots! But I do love the dramatic wide angle view of the harbor! Stunning clouds and nice light!

good point about the first and last Joan. Some beautiful light you have today.
I'd love to see some photos of the dog bakery! ;-)

Many people like sun rise and sunset :)
You sure got up early to take this picture. It's too cold here for now :)
