Piggy is Dead on Arrival...
Serious abdominal woundes were sustained such
that surgery was futile. This is the note of
my dog sitter when I arrived home today.



Java deeply loved piggy. He is sulking outside now.
I will go to NYC next week in search of replacement.

In all seriousness, today is extremely sad day.
Dame Cicely Saunders, the modern day founder of hospice,
died today http://www.stchristophers.org.uk ). I had
the privilidge of meeting her and speaking to
her about the development of hospice in the UK and US.
