No 13 of the Top 25 -
Shout out to @unleashed education for an outstanding 3 part course on dog portrait photography. Completed part 1 in November. To say the least, I am totally out of my comfort zone as a “happy snapper” - everyone starts at different level - for me, I needed to work on positive rewards to get Bean to pose and stay on wet rocky surfaces. Learned a lot (Get down lower, proper set up of focus for short depth of field action photography, blending of exposure in back lighting, watch the histogram and expose to the right to avoid loosing highlights, how to make a fool of yourself to get the dog look at you, and those nasty distracting horizon line that should not go through the dog head). The added bonus is seeing the outstanding work of dog photographers from across the globe. So 2025, part 2 with trepidation.
