Hard to believe - this is the end of Year 4 of posting a picture a day (more or less!) ..
At Hospice IDT meeting, we were each asked in reflection to state the Worst and Best Moment of 2008.
Worst moment - watching my Mother die. The one special aspect that I will treasure was the my sister, nieces, and dogs were part of her vigil. The lower picture on the left is my niece (joan) and moki sleeping 1 day prior to the death of my mother.
The Best Moment
1. Getting Moki and spending the summer on sabbatical at home in Rhode Island writing and not dealing with certain aspects of my current job. Life is simply to short, not to stop and take in the joy of raising a labrador puppy. I was very fortunate to have this time. I am not sure that JAVA will agree with me given that Moki has gone from 11 pounds to 60 pounds. For some strange reason, Moki likes to sleep on top of JAVA - hence the double decker nap picture.
2. During that time, my niece (Joan) and many others helped me celebrate turning 50! Fran came up to read in RI, but I did manage to teach fran how to use a boogie board on the surf of RI.
3. A great vacation in London with my niece, Joan, shopping for vintage clothes, going to see Spamalot, and visit to Stonehedge.
Thanks for the support, friendship, and all your great photos .. Now onto 2009 with new adventures.
