We explored Cape May briefly. We were too late for the warbler migration. We also missed the red knots, which stop on the Delaware shore to eat the eggs that the horseshoe crabs lay (although we did see a few red knots somewhere else but too far to photograph). But we did see the gulls and ? that also eat the horsecrab eggs as they are migrating north. 100's of them. The timing of all this - egg laying and migration is interesting.for more info on the red knot migration - http://www.fws.gov/chesapeakebay/migratory%20birds/RedKnot.html
