A hot sunny July morning drag me into a dry water channel of a watermill-ruin. I only
wanted to cross it expecting nothing interesting when suddenly I looked into the face
of a snake. Not dangerous for me but bigger than any I saw in that area. I stopped an
the snake froze, both of us waiting for minutes. I guess the snake was hungry and had
already smelled its prey, therefore decided to ignore me.
Under a stone a small puddle was left from the last time water was routed into this
channel a few days before. And under that stone the snake disappeared nearly complete
when I heard the sound of a fish jumping and splashing. Then these sounds get rarely.
The snake came of backwards and trapped between the jawbones the fish appears still
jumping from time to time trying to escape. The snake drag its meal two meter away
into a field of reed and started to feast ...
