On the Border

Waterton / Glacier National Peach Park

While hiking from Waterton National Park (Canada) to Glacier National Park (U.S.) you cross the border at the midpoint of the 9 mile hike. It is marked by a 20' swath of trees cut along the whole border (notice that in the background)

Jack, we saw this very scene on TV about two nights after you posted it.

Terrific shot, Jack. Does make me think of a postcard too. Beautiful country for sure.

Interresting. I can actually see a marking line on the hill behind you two, marking the border no doubt.

Nice shot, the boundaries are all in the mind.

Really a fine image, Jack. Did you notice how that line up the hillside lines up with the marker? Is that a line between countries?
Guest 24-Jul-2009 16:31
There really isn't much separating Canada and the USA is there! Not much more than an imaginary line drawn in the sand.
