Theodore Roosevelt National Park

Out in the badlands of western North Dakota is a hidden gem of a park. Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The entrance of the south unit is in Medora ND and leads into a beautiful expanse of prairie and eroded sedimentary rock formations watered by the Little Missouri River. Before he was president, Teddy Roosevelt came here to hunt bison and liked the place enough that he invested in a cattle operation and spent a few summers ranching nearby. Here the wind blows, wild horses graze, bison roam, and coyotes yip at sunset, it's just tremendous.
