Gwent Levels

In the 1980's there was a craze to own terrapins due to the popularity of Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles and many were dumped into our waterways.
I know of two on my patch, one the size of a dinner plate, the other, this one, the size of a saucer. Here you can see the scales lifting as it grows into its new shell.
