Minolta Hi-matic 7S11 c1980

The Minolta Himatic 7S11 has a sharp 40mm f1.7 six element lens and has manual control in addition to automatic exposure.
In 1980 it was selling in the UK for £89 and the black version for £10 more when the average weekly wage was £115.
Today a mint chrome 7S11 can fetch £200+ but a black one commands at least £300.
With inflation this camera new would be £378 today.
The grip I made from 6mm brass plate, a plastic lathe handle from ebay and anodised alloy 8mm washer to match the soft shutter release. It makes a small camera much easier to hold.

Nikon D2x ,Nikkor 55mm f/2.8 Ai-S Micro
1.5s f/17.0 at 55.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I had a Canon G111 in those days . These cameras were much more attractive designs that similar sized digitals of today, IMHO/
