About the only tool used in the mine used today that was not used 400 years ago is dynamite. When someone sets off dynamite in a nearby tunnel, the dust in the air soon begins to thicken. Once this happened, I took it as my cue to leave. All of the clothes I was wearing were so impregnated with heavy metal dust and who knows what toxins that I had to throw them all out.
