Udaipur is a picturesque lake town in Rajasthan. At the center of one of the lakes is a solid marble Raj-era palace, now a hotel, where the James Bond movie Octopussy was filmed. The lake was full of water when I was there, but unfortunately it now dries up after some of the weaker monsoon seasons.
