Don, When I shoot birds, I insist on AF because I too often can't react
quickly enough to them otherwise. All of my images were focused manually
when I used the 2X. The 2X is noted with each image it was used. I was
shooting with my current equipment from the tripod for months before I
realized it wasn't necessary @07/07 (for birds). I haven't used a filter
of any kind on the lense or flash with this equipment. The lense hood
isn't used. The photo itself has been sharpened and been modified slightly
for color and contrast. It has also been cropped slightly. -- Bob Pelkey

Bob...did we use auto focus, did we use a tripod....was a UV filter in place...is this image straight off the camera, or did you alter this image...did you use a lens hood ? That 70 to 300 lens is a great lens.....I say it's a GOOD shot...Don C.
