San Carlos Bay: Bunche Beach Preserve
Fort Myers, Florida USA

This image is dedicated to my younger brother, Michael Edward Pelkey, whom was very passionate about fishing.
My thanks to Jay as he had the same subject on his mind as I visited Bunche Beach Preserve in the morning for the first
time in a long while. The birds were prolific as I had hoped while they've become my primary interest to accompany the need
to take a picture which I attribute to my father, James Irwin Pelkey, my grandfather, Michael Mazur, and my uncle,
Michael Mazur II, whom I observed using cameras seemingly with great amusement in my youth. I believe
my older brother, Jim, is beginning to acquire a greater interest in photography as well.

Thanks, Andrew. I'll guess that I was 30-35 meters from the subject. I have the question in the pbase forum inquiring about the editing program that allows for focus distance in the EXIF data, and am still waiting for a reply. I would certainly like to allow that additional information to be available for educational and trivial purposes. This image was cropped with pictureproject's "landscape panorama", slightly rotated left, brightened, sharpened, with the face of the subject lightened further.

Perfect timing on this one. I was amazed to see 840mm as the focal length - you must've been about three miles away.
