Great Egret juvenile at San Carlos Bay: Bunche Beach Preserve

The bird's pose in this shot is its nearly falling out of the nest
in pursuit of food from its parent that had just flown away with an
apparent need to find some relief from the pressure. The parent
returned to the nest about a minute later.
