Common Green Darner at San Carlos Bay: Bunche Beach Preserve

After I caught first sight of this darner, I took the shot and looked back at
the bird I was watching. Out of the corner of my eye I saw the dragonfly show signs
of life. I looked back at it to watch it flip itself off its back and into flight.
Lesson: Don't be impatient and expect the unexpected.
