This shot captured a scene that happened in mere seconds. The adult Sandwich Tern
passed an Atlantic Bumper to the juvenile and the ever opportunist and thief, Laughing Gull,
attempted to steal the quarry. In this case, the juvenile was able to swallow the meal
with the evident protection and supervision of its parent.
