In the July 2014, I took a plunge and upgraded my Fui XE1 to XE2. There is nothing wrong with Xe1. The main push for the upgrade then were due to the wireless transfer capability of the XE2 where I can transfer my images immediately to my smart phone as I enjoyed sharing my images thru my phone or ipad. The other main improvement of the XE2 is the refreshing rate of the EVF during low light situation. Overall the XE2 is a refinement of the good XE1. In 18th Dec 2014, XE2 will have the new Classic chrome film simulation which is available in the newer XT1 (silver) and X100T. It is a great news and made my upgrade worthy.
If not the image quality and handling between the Xe1 and XE2 is identical.
