There are 2 types of BeeEaters in Singapore namely, the Blue-tailed Bee eaters and the Blue throated.
The former will appear in our parks and grassland during Sept to April where the latter will come in between April to August. Their behaviour and food source are primarily the same. Feeding on bees, dragonflies. They normally hang on the pearch looking for its prey and will do a beautiful acrobatic dive to catch the flying insects.
