November 20, 2005

~~ Homeless ~~

***

This guy spends hours and hours collecting plastic bags, paper bags, cans, bottles in the streets...
While I was taking some pictures of him, I was wondering about what was he thinking at that time,
What does worry him about? where is his family?
I'm pretty sure he doesn't care if it's Sunday, or November... the time just happens to be there but it doesn't make any difference... do they have ever experienced life any other way?, but then it's doesn't mean they are unhappy... or without any luck...
Can you tell how hard or how easy is his life? some of them imagine they are kings or queens and they're living in a huge castles...

That makes me wonder too. Sad to see the scene and read your caption, the colour of the photo add sadness too.

Excellent Josy. Well captured. It speaks strongly on it's own. VOTE!

So sad to happen in front of our eyes.
Beautiful shot and tones.

A very poignant shot. Before I retired I used to laugh at people who didn't know what day it was. Now I laugh at myself, because often I don't know and rarely care. LOL. Maybe he's quite satisfied in the little niche he's carved out for himself. At least we can hope so.

I often wonder if it feels "weird" to be so invisible to most of the rest of us. To go about your life, under the noses of those who have plenty, and almost never be noticed.

Good shot, Josey!

Yes we had a fellow who used to come to our village and he must have had 20 bags, which he would move along the sidewalk a few at a time and then walk back and move a few more and just continually repeated the process. He did this for a few years and then one summer he didn't return. Later I saw him in Buffalo. He was going through the same routine. So sad! Have not seen him since.

Probably thinking the same thoughts as you or I.
Just goes to his own spot when the day is done.
