I have gone to the Presidio many times photographing the old buildings that still exist there and the Presidio National Cemetery. The Chapel had never been open to the public except for weddings and meetings. This one Sunday I was there and I noticed the side door was open. Not one to miss out on any opportunities, I let myself in. This is the original post chapel built by the Episcopal Dioceses of California in 1864. It was later remodeled by the Army to serve as the Roman Catholic Chapel of Our Lady.
